🌺 The Walled Garden - Luton Hoo Estate

🌺 From the first Wednesday in May to the last in September 2025, we open the doors of the Walled Garden, Luton and welcome visitors to our unique Capability Brown designed walled garden and its unique service buildings.
🌹 WHAT TO EXPECT
Entrance includes a fascinating tour of the walled garden and visitors are encouraged to break their visit with a picnic or a visit to the Woodyard Café. The garden is best enjoyed at a snail’s pace, entrance is for all day! Notice boards and displays are updated throughout the season allowing fascinating insight into the garden’s rich history.
♿️ ACCESSIBILITY
Every effort has been made to make the garden accessible to as many visitors as possible. With that in mind we have recently finished resurfacing the area around the sundial making it far easier for wheeled access. However, due to the age and rich history of the garden there are some areas that are not accessible by wheelchair. Please inform members of the Walled Garden Project at the entrance and every effort will be made to provide an alternative route, provide commentary on the area, or help with pushing if there are volunteers available. Disabled toilets are available within the conservatory.

Dogs on leads with well-behaved owners are most welcome at the Walled Garden.

Parking is in an immediately adjacent car park with clearing marked disabled parking bays.

▪️Leaving The Quay at St Ives at 11am and arriving at Houghton Mill at 12.25pm in time for a mill tour.
▪️You will have 3 hours at the mill. There will be a guided tour of Houghton Mill and time to visit the Tea Room or have a look around the delightful village of Houghton.
▪️The return trip departs Houghton lock at 3.30pm to arrive back in St Ives for 5pm.

There will be a free petting farm for everyone to enjoy, inflatables (booking in advance needed, via the event link) refreshments, lots of stalls, music and entertainment and some fabulous slushie mocktails and cocktails from Great Denhams very own Ice Bar Trailer.

With good reason, you may assist your child! If they are too young to go alone, scared etc you may assist them.

🌺 The Walled Garden - Luton Hoo Estate

🌺 From the first Wednesday in May to the last in September 2025, we open the doors of the Walled Garden, Luton and welcome visitors to our unique Capability Brown designed walled garden and its unique service buildings.
🌹 WHAT TO EXPECT
Entrance includes a fascinating tour of the walled garden and visitors are encouraged to break their visit with a picnic or a visit to the Woodyard Café. The garden is best enjoyed at a snail’s pace, entrance is for all day! Notice boards and displays are updated throughout the season allowing fascinating insight into the garden’s rich history.
♿️ ACCESSIBILITY
Every effort has been made to make the garden accessible to as many visitors as possible. With that in mind we have recently finished resurfacing the area around the sundial making it far easier for wheeled access. However, due to the age and rich history of the garden there are some areas that are not accessible by wheelchair. Please inform members of the Walled Garden Project at the entrance and every effort will be made to provide an alternative route, provide commentary on the area, or help with pushing if there are volunteers available. Disabled toilets are available within the conservatory.

🎊 Houghton Regis carnival will be once again filled with lots of entertainment and attractions this 2025. The Houghton Regis Carnival is back — and this year, we're celebrating all things sporty!
🤩 WHAT TO EXPECT
⚽️ THE PARADE
Kicking off at 10:30 am from the Leisure Centre entrance on Parkside Drive, the procession will be led by the brilliant Brass Squadron. We’ll wind our way through town and head to The Village Green for around 11:30am.
🧡 2025 MASCOTTS
This year, mascots Hetty and Harry from Luton Town Football Club (Come On You Hatters!) will be joining our much-loved Regis the Lion.
